Number Frames, by MLC 2.1

Number Frames assist students in structuring numbers up to five, ten, twenty, and one hundred. They are utilized by students to count, represent, compare, and perform computations within specific numerical ranges.

The frames enable students to perceive quantities as equal groups or in relation to benchmark quantities, aiding primary students in transitioning from one-by-one counting to more efficient counting and computing methods. For advanced learners, custom frames can be designed to aid in visualizing factors, products, fractional parts, and more.

These digital adaptations of number frames serve as versatile educational instruments suitable for elementary classrooms and other educational settings employing iPads. FEATURES:

• Utilize standard 5-, 10-, 20-, and 100-frames, or generate custom frames up to 12 x 12.
• Select from various counters and colors. Drag individual counters or stacks of 5 and 10 into frames or onto the workspace.
• Apply a grid marking every fifth line on frames to accentuate grouping by five.
• Conceal and reveal counters using adjustable covers to devise problems and demonstrate strategies.
• Employ drawing tools to annotate work and display comprehension.
• Incorporate equations, expressions, and descriptions with math text and writing tools.
